The photo shows the "Hotel Hayes" in the background which is located in Jackson, Michigan. The Hayes Hotel building is still standing although not a hotel. If you look at a Google image of the hotel, you can tell based on the unique point at the top center and brick work. Also Jackson was where the historic "Meeting Under the Oaks" occurred on July 6, 1854 and is a Michigan Historic Site complete with a Michigan historical marker number S0015.
