Esther Brown

Esther Brown was the first female Howell City Mayor, elected in 1985 by a margin of 50 votes. Prior to her run as mayor, Brown was a two-term city council member. An active member of the Howell community before even running for either office, Brown was a part of the campaign to put a traffic light at Highlander Way and Grand River.
