Nicholas Stanley Berriman, born in Calumet in 1907; he died in 1983.
Stanley Berriman served as Livingston County Michigan Prosecutor, Justice of the Peace, and as a municipal judge.
In 1982, Mr. Berriman was honored by the Livingston County Bar Association for becoming the first attorney to practice law in the county for fifty years.

Robert Freeman Burden was the bulk agent for Standard Oil Company, and the driver of this wagon was Lyle Burden.
Captioned: "In 1905, a Standard Oil carriage makes early morning deliveries of gas and kerosene to drug stores that sold the fuels to the general public." -

The service station was located at the intersection of South Court Street and East Grand River Avenue. Visible in the background are the buildings lining the west side of North State Street. It is a winter scene.
In 1937, Bob White (1918 -1997) bought the service station and it became known as Bob White's Standard Service Station. It operated as that same Standard Station until 1981.
