    Paul Bennett was a teacher, coach, and athletic director for Howell Public Schools, Howell, Michigan.

    Mr. Bennett was born 1897 in New Jersey, and died in Howell, Livingston, Michigan in 1969. He married Mildred Guestschow in 1926.

    Following his retirement in 1957, Mr. Bennett was instrumental in the formation of the Community Recreation Program, and the Howell Junior Baseball Program. He was also the Director for Howell Recreation.

    In 1965, he received the Howell "Citizen of the Year" award.

    A photo of William McPherson Jr. He was a buissnessman and prominent member of the community in Howell during his life. He was born around Inveruess, Scotland, on March 9, 1834. His family immigrated to Howell in 1836. 

    McPherson worked in his father's mercantile bussiness, and later became the owner of a large amount of real estate. He was also a notable figure of the state convention of the Republican party, and was appointed to the railway commision in 1885. 

    He was married to Jennie M. Ranney in 1859, and they had four children. Three of them were Alice McPherson Spencer, R. Bruce Mcpherson, and Jay W. Bigelow.

    Alfred Garland was born in Sheffield, England in the 1850's, and died in Howell in May 1936.  He established with his brother, Arthur Garland, a tailoring business in downtown Howell.
