    Building was located at West and Factory Sts in Howell, Michigan. The factory was serviced by the Ann Arbor Railroad.

    The photograph was included in the 1992 Pictorial Edition of the "Howell Bicentennial History", page 287.  It was estimated the photograph was taken around the turn of the century (1900).

    Location may be Emil Bode's family home at 716 N. Michigan Avenue, Howell, Michigan. Minnie and Maggie are sisters of Emil Bode. Dora is a sister in-law, Emil's brother Dolf's wife. Iva is Minnie's daughter.

    These photographs are of  Margaret Devereaux and "Miss Michigan 1956" pagaent which was held in Muskegon in June 1955.    Margeret Devereaux of Howell, Michigan was crowned "Miss Michigan" .

    The names of the other persons are unknown.

    This group of photographs portray Miss Michigan, Margaret Devereaux, of Howell, Michigan, getting a new car from Bill Collins.  Also pictured are Howard Gentry, Charles Hill, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Devereaux of Howell, Michigan, 1955.

    The pictures are of Miss Devereax and the car in front of the Livingston County Courthouse. The view looks south at East Grand River Avenue.  In the background, there is Hotel Livingston, W.D. Adams, Watson & O'Leary Bakery, and Ludmor Shoes.  One view looks west on Grand River Avenue, towards the intersection of Michigan Avenue. Miss Devereaux is in each picture.
