    This photograph was taken in the early 1900's at Lake Chemung, Howell, Michigan, showing two men boxing. There were other similar pictures in this group at a picnic believed to be on the same day; some of the pictures were featured in David Finney's "Images of America: Howell", 2013.

    This photograph was included in David Finney's book, "Images of America: Howell", p.96 and was captioned "Boys in a Canoe. Whether fishing swimming or canoeing, these three boys are enjoying a summer day on Howell's Thompson Lake".  The names of the boys and date are unknown.

    This photograph was taken in 1902 depicts the building of  a new bridge to cross the Ann Arbor Railroad Tunnel at East Street (Division Street, Michigan Avenue).  This photograph was included in the 1st National Bank Calendar collection.  The Toledo & Ann Arbor Railroad car is pictured.

    As noted in the December 17th, 1902 edition of the Livingston Republican, "The abutements for the new steel bridge over the tunnel near the Baptist Church are being placed.  The work grading down the sides of the tunnel continues".

    This group of photographs were taken on the lawn of the Howell Carnegie Library, June 14, 1915, and are of Camp Fire Girls, as shown and discussed in the 2013 David Finney book, "Images of America Howell".

    The girls were participating in Flag Day activities and had their pictures taken with parasols having American flag designs and in Native American dresses, headbands, and pigtails.
